in Internet

Google has recently added a few add-on in Gmail Labs. Some of them are really useful.

Mark as Read Button

If you use “Mark as Read” option from Action menu frequently then this is for you. Enable this lab feature will insert a “Mark as Read” button beside Delete button.

Default ‘Reply to all’

The default option to reply an email reply to only the sender. If you mostly reply to all the recipients of the email you can reset the default reply option to “reply to all” by enabling Default ‘Reply to all’ lab option.

Navbar drag and drop

This lab option will allow to re-order navigation items using drag-n-drop.

Forgotten Attachment Detector

It happens many time that we need to send attachment in the mail but we forget to attach. This lab feature is very useful. It will prompt if you have mentioned a attachment in the email but forgot to attach.

Vacation Time!

Last month I went on a vacation and forgot to put Vacation responder. If it happens to you too this feature will let you specify Vacation responder dates in advance.

Quote selected text

This option will let you reply with the selected text only in the email instead of the full email. You just need to select the text which you want to quote in reply and press “r” keyboard shortcut.

This will work only if you use keyboard shortcuts. This doesn’t quite work in Chrome or Safari yet.
