<p>There is a solution available now which is called <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zlfKdbWwruY#t=1m18s" target="_blank">deep link</a>. Append the YouTube video url with something like <em>#t=1m18s</em>. Here it means that the video will start from the time 1min 18sec. You can change the digits before <em>m</em> and <em>s</em>.</p>
<p>So the URL will look like<br />
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zlfKdbWwruY#t=1m18s" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zlfKdbWwruY#t=1m18s</a><br />
instead of<br />
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zlfKdbWwruY" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zlfKdbWwruY</a></p>
<p>It will also help to save bandwidth because YouTube will start video download from the given time. Unfortunately deep link doesn&#8217;t work in case of video embedding.</p>
